Routes of individual trips mostly follow tourist or cycletourist routes, only in an exceptional case follow unmarked paths. Due to the limited extent of the brochure it is not po- ssible to provide a more detailed itinerary and therefore we recommend, tourists to purchase one of the maps listed below: Podyjí – Tha-yatal (large cycletourist map with guide 1:75 000 and 1:40 000 – NP Po-dyjí), Znojemsko – Retzerland (cycletourist map 1:100 000), Podyjí (tourist map 1:50 000 – for tourists on foot), Znojemské Podyjí na kole i pěšky – Znojmo region along Dyje by bicycle and on foot (map atlas with tourist guide).
Listed in the text are only places that serve food and some other interesting inns, in case, there are too many in one location the selection was made according to the local people’s recommendations. Nearly every village has at least an inn, where drinks are sold. But usually except on weekends they open only in the afternoon and evening. We don’t include restaurants and hotels in Austria.
The two-digit numbers in the text are a reference for tourists, cultural and other points of interest listed in alphabetical order in groups according to the routes.
