Vranovsko
The most visited historical monument in the region is the Gothic castle Bítov with its renowned armoury and collection of stuffed dogs. You can get to the castle by boat across the Vranov dam – also known as the Moravian Adriatic due to its climate. The dam is ideal for water sports and fishing. Podyjí National Park is located between Znojmo and Vranov along the meandering river Dyje. It is the smallest national park but has the most dense network of tourist trails. The spectacular Baroque chateau Vranov nad Dyjí is not to be missed along with the surrounding forest park and its Classicist architectural features.
