Jevišovicko
The picturesque town of Jevišovice the smallest one in South Moravia is the centre of the northern part of the Znojmo region. This part of National Park Jevišovice with its deep forests attracts visitors who seek relaxation. Jevišovice chateau is worth visiting too; it features an exposition of folk furniture, archeology of Jevišovice, old style kitchen and a formerly private-owned archeological collection including the famous Venus of Hluboké Mašůvky. Other attractions include the undergound in Česká, the church of Visitation of Virgin Mary in Hluboké Mašůvky, Holy Trinity church in Běhařovice or the Baroque bridge in Grešlové Mýto. The historical water fortress in Boskovštejn hosts a unique museum with three hundred bicycles. The exhibition includes historical bikes as well as models worth Tour de France champions. Jevišovice dam from 1897 is an important technical monument and the oldest dam in Central Europe.
